The Flitner's Diamond Tail Ranch headquarters is nestled in the Shell Valley on the west side of Wyoming’s beautiful Big Horn Mountains. Our ranch has been operated by the Flitner family since 1906 and the ranching tradition has continued for five generations of the family. Our cows graze naturally on thousands of acres of Wyoming ranch land.

Our horses are bred on the Diamond Tail Ranch from our award winning, registered stallions and mares

Our horses are bred on the Diamond Tail Ranch from our award winning, registered stallions and mares, then trained by Tim Flitner and his crew, very knowledgeable, experienced trainers.  They specialize in cutting horses but also train other disciplines. Diamond Tail Horses are pastured in a high altitude environment that enhances their superb training and breeding and are ridden in day-to-day ranch work.   More information on these exceptional animals and their pedigrees are available in our horses section.
