The
Flitner's Diamond Tail
Ranch headquarters is nestled in the Shell Valley on the west side
of Wyoming’s beautiful Big Horn
Mountains. Our ranch has been operated by the Flitner family since 1906 and the ranching tradition
has continued for five generations of the family.
Cattle are the
mainstay of Diamond Tail Ranch.
Our cows graze naturally on thousands of acres of Wyoming ranch land.
We
concentrate on cow-calf production and
raise
feeder calves for sale.
Diamond Tail naturally-grown beef is processed and delivered to you
frozen, without any preservatives, and available custom-cut, by
quarters, halves or processed sections. Please read more about how
you can enjoy this healthy, high quality meat
at
Diamond Tail Ranch Beef.

Our horses are bred on the Diamond Tail Ranch from our award winning,
registered stallions and mares, then trained by Tim Flitner and his
crew, very knowledgeable, experienced trainers. They
specialize in cutting horses but also train other disciplines. Diamond
Tail Horses are pastured in a high altitude environment that enhances
their superb training and breeding and are ridden in
day-to-day ranch work. More information on these
exceptional animals and their pedigrees
are available in our
horses section.
 Diamond
Tail Ranch, in conjunction with the Wyoming Game and Fish, the US Fish and Wildlife
Service, Natural Resource Conservation Service, and other
environmental conservation groups, has improved and developed their excellent rangelands and wetlands. This
superb habitat is abundant with wildlife. Large populations of Mule
and White Tail Deer, as well as Elk, Antelope, Bear, and Mountain Lion
can be found in the areas in and around the ranch. Also, our wetlands
play host to fish and countless flocks of migratory birds. Be sure to read more
about our
hunting and outfitting
opportunities, and please call with your questions.
